Power Pivot + Power View – Excel 2013

Trends are one of the mainly used reporting styles in any global organisations or distributed business functions. Here discussing, how we can get some quick information visualizations using Power Pivot and Power View.
Recently, I started a Geo-spatial project for trend analysis using the existing data downloaded from CDO so I am using the same project for demo.

Step 1: Power Pivot model
Developed a dimensional model in Power Pivot with calculated measures for analysis

Step 2: Developed a simple Trends reports using Power View using the Power Pivot model

Points to consider:
1. I can see the weather information of two cities (Sydney and Perth), oh it’s hot in Perth
2. I have used only Excel 2013 without any database or reporting tool
3. During my tests, Power View has lot of performance than existing tools for detail analysis
4. End-users can develop a powerful reports using Excel either using SSAS Tabular cube or using Power Pivot model
5. Planning to discuss Geo-spatial trend options soon
